PGSIST students explore information technology's power to help groups of people think, work and learn more effectively. In so doing, they enhance their own critical thinking, sharpen their leadership skills and learn to collaborate more effectively. Drexel University is located in the heart of Philadelphia, offering access to leading national and international technological resources. The acclaimed College of Information Science and Technology, established in 1984, provides a wide variety of computer labs and classrooms as well as PC workstations with Internet connections in residence halls. Opportunities exist for PGSIT students to work directly with Drexel faculty members on research and development projects.
All PGSIST students take core courses and select activities from the elective and track course menus.

The Drexel campus consists of 30 academic and research buildings, indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, and a student center. PGSIT students live in one of the four residence halls in exclusive, supervised, gender-separate quarters. PGSIT students can take advantage of the many nearby arts, historical and cultural offerings.
