The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania needs educators who can meet the challenges of teaching in an age of knowledge explosion, educators who are caring, respected professionals who exercise leadership as learner advocates. The Pennsylvania Governor's School for Teaching (PGST) is designed to meet this need by offering a planned, residential, educational enrichment experience that will help participants learn how to build and use knowledge, match appropriate teaching methods to learners' styles and subject matter, and make informed decisions in the interests of students.
